Endorphin’s are similar to hormones and these are made within the brain and work as a natural pain killing remedy for the body. When you exercise the body releases endorphins which will create a feeling of euphoria and an over whelming feeling of wellbeing. If you work hard enough some of the endorphins release have been known to cover up the feeling of pain.
If you suffer from a mild form of depression and are having a “down” moment then exercise is really recommend to help you feel better to enable you to boost your self confidence and belief and make yourself happy again. Exercise helps people with mental health issues and more so as they get older.

The harder you work out the more chemicals will be released and will have more of an effect on improving your well being. There are a wide variety of aerobic classes available to suit the needs and requirements of people of all abilities.
As well as improving your overall mood it is also good to try and reduce any stress and tension which you may be feeling. A good exercise to achieve this is yoga. There are many good classes run in communities and local gyms. Yoga will concentrate on breathing techniques and stretching which will help eradicate any negative emotions which you may be feeling.
In addition to endorphins, exercise also increases the amount of adrenaline, serotonin and dopamine released into the body. These chemicals join forces and a combination of them will help you feel so much better.
Not only does the body increase endorphins but it is also great for reducing hormones which cause stress such as cortisol.
Also it is always good to get out and meet people and socialise. There is no better way to do this than at an exercise class. You can go with a friend or alone and meet new people. Mixing with people can help you feel better about yourself and help boost your confidence.
